Dolphin only supports running 1 dol at a time, the core doesn't support soft reset to run another dol. I am using the drivers from the guide, and the bugfixed remotejoy and most of the time i just get a black screen. I didn't realize that game would be one of the games that use soft reset to run another dol. So the question is: Could support be added to Dolphin for loading another dol at runtime? Or alternatively: Would it be possible to modify a disk image so that instead of the menu it would load directly into one of the games, avoiding the problem altogether? From what I gathered from other forums it seems that backup-loaders show the same behavior and people have to activate some workaround option or something like that?Īnyway, the Wii Version of Metroid Prime supposedly had the same problem and that one was definitively a single-layer.

The moment you go from the menu into a game it is supposed to switch to another dol but Dolphin doesn't support this and goes to blackscreen.

as it probably functions in the same exact manner, loads a bootloader and then boots the requested game. so it probably needs implementation, which would probably fix the zelda collectors edition game as well for the GC. It has the game "files" on the disc and simply calls them from the bootloader of the main wii disc. You can still access the menu from home but the screen remains black. True but not true, the wii versions of MP1 and MP2 are changed, I've read that certain "sequence breaking" techniques no longer work, such as the early space jump technique in MP1, and all scan dashes no longer function the same, so they aren't direct copies. Ive tried psx2psp v1.42 which creates an eboot which wont start (gives an invalid PRX type error, and yes I have a genuine sony mspd), and impalerPSX which creates an eboot that starts but just seems to do nothing when you select new game.
